March 2025 – Kabul, Afghanistan
We are proud to announce that Harirod Construction Company has officially received the project award letter for the design, supply, and installation of a 1 Megawatt (MW) Solar Power System at the French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children (FMIC) in Kabul.
This prestigious project, awarded in March 2025, reflects our growing leadership in renewable energy infrastructure and highlights our unwavering commitment to supporting sustainable, reliable, and forward-thinking energy solutions in Afghanistan.
Powering Healthcare with Clean Energy
The FMIC is one of the most respected medical institutions in the country, serving thousands of patients annually. With the increasing need for uninterrupted, clean, and cost-effective power, this solar project will:
- Significantly reduce the hospital’s reliance on diesel generators,
- Lower operating costs and environmental impact,
- And ensure consistent energy for critical health services, including emergency and surgical care.
The 1MW solar system is expected to generate enough electricity to cover a substantial portion of FMIC’s daily energy demand, aligning with international standards for energy efficiency and sustainability.
Our Scope of Work
Harirod Construction Company will oversee the full scope of the project, including:
- Site assessment and engineering design,
- Procurement and installation of high-efficiency solar panels and inverters,
- Integration with existing electrical systems,
- Testing, commissioning, and long-term maintenance support.
All work will be executed with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery, using globally recognized best practices.
Building a Greener Afghanistan
This project represents more than just a solar system — it’s a step toward a greener, energy-secure Afghanistan, and we’re honored to play a part in that vision.
“We are proud to support FMIC in their mission to deliver world-class healthcare,” said a spokesperson for Harirod. “This solar energy project reinforces our role as a trusted partner in both the construction and renewable energy sectors of Afghanistan.”
What’s Next?
Mobilization and site preparation will begin shortly, with project execution scheduled to move swiftly through 2025. Harirod will continue to provide regular updates on the progress, milestones, and impact of this transformative energy initiative.
