Group Quality Policy Statement

In the development of the Quality Management System, in accordance with ISO 9001-2015 in which the organization and the assignment of responsibilities and authorities are depicted, it shall be recognized by Harirod Group that the aspect of Quality Management is an interdisciplinary function encompassing all the major functions and activities of the various companies within the Harirod Group, and therefore extends to all levels and divisions. Responsibility for quality and quality management activities is not, therefore, vested only in the Quality Representatives and Quality Control Personnel, but shall be the responsibility of each and every person in each group Company from the President to the lowest ranking employee. The Management of Harirod Group is committed to implementing the Quality Management System to ensure that the highest standard of quality is maintained throughout all stages of the contract, as customer satisfaction is considered to be of the utmost importance. The Certification ensures that the Group companies are following world class quality management systems and are therefore no less than any other in the field.

Group Safety Policy Statement

OUR GOAL: ZERO ACCIDENTS HARIROD GROUP has earned an industry-leading record of achieving zero lost-time incidents on all projects. Year after year, our zero accidents philosophy helps put our safety performance right at the top of the industry. Safety matters, especially in construction. That is why Harirod Group is training its personnel to be aware of safety risks, and how to prevent accidents. As an OHSAS certified organization, Harirod Group is committed to safety. For each project, a detailed occupational safety and health plan is worked out, taking the special project requirements into consideration. It is made sure that on each site Safety personnel with sufficient qualification and training are assigned. This includes the OHSAS 30h training as a minimum. The strictest safety standard to adhere to in Afghanistan is the US Government standard which is reflected in Engineering Manual EM 385-1-1. All Site Safety Manuals used in Harirod Group´s projects are written up following this EM-385 standard to ensure compliance with the international issued construction contracts that are common in Afghanistan.

Group Security Policy Statement

Committed to grant an undisturbed project-flow within a protected work environment, HARIROD GROUP enforces a 24/ 7 security routine on all project sites. The overall threat level and methods of operations and measures – that HARIROD GROUP will apply for security purposes – are being assessed and implemented individually by means of a security plan, prior to every project´s kick off. The implementation of the security plan and its proper application is monitored by the HARIROD GROUP Security coordinator in close liaison with the client´s project officers and the local police force. HARIROD GROUP refers to years of experience and provides all physical security installations to house its security personnel and ensure proper control and operation by means of e.g. entry/ road-control-points, fencing, night-site illumination, watch towers and operation centers. Uniform clothing, inventory- and staff- management systems and individualized ID-cards ensure sustainable control and are reliable tools in the hands of the HARIROD GROUP security authorities to minimize a threat of theft or insider attacks. Embedded police force and/ or private security companies prevent unauthorized access to the site, monitor incoming vehicles, and safeguard the site in order to prevent catastrophic impacts on assets, installations and staff. Focus also lies on safeguarding convoys and goods on their way to the site. Road security will be provided as required and implemented by HARIROD GRUOP´s transport managers that can rely on an effective, Afghanistan-wide network of security contacts. Additionally the route and actual location of the cargo can be monitored throughout the entire country by means of a GPS tracking system.

Group Environmental Policy Statement

It is the policy of the Harirod Group of Companies to manage its activities in such a way that reduces their environmental impact to a practicable minimum. The Group is committed to continual improvement of its environmental performance, including a reduction in pollution, and intends to achieve this by setting clear environmental objectives and regularly monitoring progress against them. In order to regulate the environmental performance of Harirod Group of Companies, the Group will operate an environmental management system that meets the requirements of ISO 14001:2004

The Harirod Group of Companies will:

  1. Ensure that this policy is understood, implemented and maintained at all levels of the Group and provide the necessary resources to achieve this.
  2. Educate, train and motivate employees to carry out tasks in an environmentally responsible manner.
  3. Provide public access (on request) to information on the environmental performance of the Group
  4. Will strive to comply with all existing regulatory legislation, consents and codes issued at International, National and Local levels and adopt a pro-active attitude in anticipating future regulatory requirements.
  5. Document, implement and maintain an environmental management system that will provide a framework for setting and reviewing environmental objectives and targets.
  6. Encourage environmental protection among suppliers and subcontractor

The Group is committed to continual improvement of environmental performance. This Policy will be communicated to all staff, sub-contractors and suppliers, and be available for the public.
